Computers cannot analyze a horoscope. They can only do the mathematical portion of preparing the birth chart. Vedic texts contain general effects of planets in different signs and their effect in different time periods or Dasa and antar dasa’s. The software people pick up these data from Books and keep it fed into the computer along with the chart as predictions for that chart.
Similarly the yoga combinations are also filled in. Most of these predictions are of very general nature and not specific to the horoscope. This is why manual analysis becomes important in Indian astrology and it can be done only by a trained astrologer.
Many yoga’s which are apparently present in Rasi chart gets cancelled in Navamsa chart. Similarly formation of Neecha bhanga Raja yoga’s find no place in computerized readings. The computerized astrology reading does not take into consideration the exaltation and debilitation of planets nor does it correlate transits of major planets to possible incidents in dasa periods.
There are many other factors not covered in the computerized astrology readings hence manual analysis is a must as is done in The Himalayan Ashram of Vedic Astrologers. An Indian Astrology reading done manually by a Vedic astrologer or a western astrologer is the authentic way to consult astrology.
