There is a third method in which the client is asked to give any number which comes to his mind at the time of question. After dividing by 108 what ever is left is again divided by 12 and the reminder is fixed as the ascending sign at the time of question. Sri Krishnamurty introduced a new system known as the KP system. He divided each of the 27 stars into 9 parts each according to their Vimsottari dasa proportionate and made 249 parts of the zodiac. The client is asked to give any number with in 249 and ascendant is placed on that Number.

The first task after construction of the horary chart is to verify whether the chart reflects the nature of the question. It should be possible to connect the question to the signification of that bhava (A) In which the navamsa lagna falls (B) in which the navamsa lagna lord falls (C) in which the Moon is placed. If the chart fails to respond to the above three tests the sincerity of the question is doubtful.
