The world does not have a horoscope because we do not know when it was born. How ever the zodiac has 12 houses signifying various aspects of life on this earth and significant changes in course of time. In the zodiac the 10th house is Capricorn which we may take as the Karmasthana of the world (worldly activities). The 11th house next to it is Labhasthan or house of profits. Both these houses are ruled by Saturn as per Vedic astrology.

We know that in astrology Saturn represents Miseries, Sadness, Depressions, Recessions, and all type of calamities. Saturn’s Movement is of great significance when we consider the fate of the earth and what is happening in it. Besides Jupiter represents the wealth and Mercury the trade. Mars rules Stock markets. So the Movement of these planets over the zodiac is indicative of the trend of global economy and men can take cognizance of it and plan their lives accordingly.

Planetary retrogression is an important phenomenon in Indian astrology, because a planet gives opposite kind of results during retrogression. Generally such results are un expected and un avoidable. Let us now examine the movement of these important planets during the last 20 months.

Saturn entered the sign of Leo on 17/07/2007 . He was in 8th from 10th (Capricorn his own house and adverse to the good effects of that house). On 16th November 2007 Mars became retrograde in Aries and remained so till Feb 2008. He was in 6th from Scorpio and had his 8th aspect on Scorpio. At this time Jupiter was in Sagittarius the 12th house from 10th.(12th is loss)
On Dec 07 Saturn became retrograde in Leo and continues to remain so till 03/05/2008.

The stock markets over the world started collapsing and financial institutes like banks started failing..On 30/1/2008 Mercury also became retrograde and remained so till 19/02/2008.

On 10th May 2008 Jupiter became retrograde in Sagittarius and remained so till 10th September 2008. The financial crisis deepened and many banks collapsed and industries and stock markets went in reverse trend. Then came a little respite from September to December when no planet was retrograde. On 2nd of January 2009 Saturn became retrograde again in Leo and will remain so till 17/05/2009. Jupiter meanwhile entered the 10th house Capricorn where he has no strength.
He continues to move forward in the same sign and the world leaders are unable to find a way to solve the financial crisis. The crisis is not yet over.

There is another big hit coming. On 16th June 2009 Jupiter becomes retrograde in Aquarius and soon moves back into Capricorn. He will remain so till 13/10/2009. Mercury becomes retrograde in Virgo from 8/09/2009 to 14/10/2009. Saturn who is already in Virgo aspects Scorpio.  Thus we see that as per Indian astrology another big crisis for the stock markets of the world lies between September 09 to October 09. World trade will become steady only after March 2010 as per the calculations of Vedic astrology.
